二、 新的题型
18. Horses can talk to one another.  36  They communicate with one another and with us through gestures and    expressions.
Expressive(富有表现力的) Ears
When a horse turns its ears to the side or halfway back, the horse is listening. It can listen with both ears._37  If the sound is on the left, the horse moves its left ear. When a horse moves both ears back and forth, it’s paying attention to the activity around it.
Meaningful looks(有含义的眼神)
A horse that is relaxed and happy will have ‘soft’ eyes, which look kind and round in shape. A horse that is unhappy will have ‘hard’ eyes, which look angry.   38  When white shows around a horse’s eyes, it is frightened or anxious.
Kicking(踢腿)
Do horses kick only when they are angry? Not always. A horse sometimes kicks to get flies off its stomach or legs.  39  Horses in a field may also kick while they are playing.
Tails Tell Tales
A horse also talks with its tail.  40  If there are flies around, it will swish(刷刷地移动) its tail in a relaxed manner to chase(驱逐) the flies away. A horse that is playing in a field may hold its tail high, almost over its back. This shows that the horse is feeling good. If a horse swishes its tail when there are no flies, the horse is bored or impatient. A horse will swish its tail hard when it’s angry.
