Passage1
Don't try and be happy—it will only make you sad.Desperately trying to keep a smile on your face will only make your depression worse,a new study suggests.
Feeling content has become the sole goal for many in recent years, but embracing your sadness may be more beneficial.University of Melbourne researchers said that society's downright shunning of being sad could be harmful for sufferers of the blues.Dr.Brock Bastian,a psychologist behind the study, said:"Depression rates are higher in countries that place a premium on happiness.Rather than being the by-product of a life well-lived,feeling happy has become a goal in itself. This reinforces the message that we should aim to maximize our positive emotions and avoid our negative ones".
Society needs to change its attitude on depression if the disorder is to be tackled effectively,Dr.Bastian hinted. He added that people have become so used to not showing signs of vulnerability due to social media being used to celebrate achievements. For the study published in the journal Depression and Anxiety, the researchers assessed112depressed patients. Each volunteer was asked to rate their symptoms of the blues and how much pressure they faced to be happy. They were tracked over a period of one month.

Passage2
In a family where the roles of men and women are not sharply separated and where many household tasks are shared to a greater or lesser extent, notions of male superiority are hard to maintain. The pattern of sharing in tasks and in decisions makes for equality, and this in turn leads to further sharing. In such a home, the growing boy and girl learn to accept that equality more easily than did their parents and to prepare more fully for participation in a world characterized by cooperation rather than by the battle of the sexes.
If the process goes too far and man's role is regarded as less important-and that has happened in some cases-we are as badly of as before, only in reverse. It is time to reassess the role of the man in the American family. We are getting a little tired of momism,-but we don't want to exchange it for neo-popism.What we need, rather,is the recognition that bringing up children involves a partnership of equals.
There are signs that psychologists, social workers, and specialists on the family are becoming more aware of the part men play and that they have decided that women should not receive all the credit-nor all the blame. We have almost given up saying that a woman's place is the home.We are beginning, however,to analyze men's place in the home and to insist that he does have a place in it.Nor is that place irrelevant to the healthy development of the child.
The family is a cooperative enterprise for which it is difficult to lay down rules, because each family needs to work out its own ways for solving its own problems.
Excessive authoritarianism has unhappy consequences, whether it wears skirts or trousers, and the ideal of equal rights and equal responsibilities is connected not only with a healthy democracy, but also with a healthy family.

Passage3
Global business travel topped$1.2trillion and is expected to reach$1.6trillion by2020, according to new research by the Global Business Travel Association(GBTA),an association representing the interests of corporate travel managers. What’s more China has now surpassed the U.S.as the largest business travel market in the world, ringing up$291billion last year.
At the same time, all is not rosy and a number of major issues are lurking ahead.A weakening global economy,Brexit and this year’s U.S.presidential election will mean growth will not be a straight line upwards.
“The uncertainty created by financial upheaval and pending changes to trade and immigration rules will raise management heartburn. This will cause some postponement, even outright cancellation,of business trips. It may also trigger travel budget constriction as management seeks to hedge the uncertainty.”the report says.
At the same time Concur,a company that provides support services for travel managers, released that the sharing economy is gaining traction with business travelers, based on its analysis of40million users who spend over$70billion annually.
Concur data indicates56percent growth for Airbnb type services in usage from Q12015 to Q12016.On average, business travelers stay five nights when home sharing versus three nights in a hotel.
“Managing travel and expense is becoming increasingly complex, between integration with mobile technology, nuances in traveler preferences, and new travel supplier strategies,”notes Robb Nielsen, vice president of global produce experience at Concur.“This demands a fully connected travel and expense ecosystem paired with actionable insights, giving travel managers the visibility and control they need to drive cost savings.”
A press released added,“The vast majority of business travelers also want to receive personalized travel options. However, even though business travelers want personalized options, they are hesitant to share too much personal information to obtain them. They are commonly willing to share details such as their frequent flyer or hotel loyalty number, preferred airline and hotel brands and aircraft seat preferences, but fewer than half would share their travel history, preferred leisure activities while traveling, their business calendar with booked appointments and their social media account names.”
1.Which of the following statement is correct according to the context?
A.US market alone amounted to$291billion last year.
B.GBTA stands for travelers’interest.
