20039月英语四级作文题及范文
范文:
During the SARS period in this spring, the year of 2003, one of my classmates, Li ming, was struck down by the virus and was immediately sent to hospital.
The news spread quickly on campus. At first, we were terrified and wondered if we were infected too. However, through our government’s publicity on mass media, we gradually conquered the fear and set out to try out best to help her. Some teachers provided darly necessities while some students recorded the English class contents for him so that Li ming could not be left behind. With our care and concern, Li ming recovered quickly.
Such an incident teaches us a good moral. Our society is full of love, warm and peaceful, in which people-from man to woman, from individual to individual-lend others a hand. Just like a famous song goes, “the world will turn it to heaven only if everyone contributes a little.” and I do believe that it’s my great honor to live in this love-filled paradise!
On Punctuality
To be or not to be, punctual is a habit. We often fail to appreciate the influence of habit in our life.Habits are working for or against us every minute of the day. They have much to do with our future. So when we are young, we should try to be punctual every time and never be late, for the habits are much easier to acquire in youth than when we are older.
Punctuality is an important constituent of good character.A person who is always on time for his appointments shows real consideration for others. A person who is always late shows selfishness and thoughtlessness, and he is not a person that most people want for a friend. A few minutes’ delay may
not be a serious matter, but it may have bad results. Getting up ten minutes later than usual may upset the plan of the day.Calling on a friend five minutes later than the appointed time may cause him some unexpected trouble. One delay after another makes a man unable to exert himself. It also proves him
to be untrustworthy.
Since punctuality is a good habit and a nice virtue, we should pay a lot of attention to it and make many efforts to cultivate this good habit so that we may have a strong sense of punctuality and do whatever we are supposed to do on time.
City Living is the Best
I would much rather live in the city than in the country. Living in the country would be very boring and there wouldn’t be the same opportunities as there are in the city. It is obvious that most people agree with me because most people choose to live in cities.
山西省公务员省考公告    In the city, there are plenty of things for teenagers to do. They can go to the cinema as often as they like. Because there are so many cinemas in a small area, they have lots of choice about what to see. There are plenty of other activities too. Teenagers can go rollerblading or iceskating. They can go to skateboard parks,to swimming pools or to video arcades.

In the city, you can meet many interesting people from all walks of life, and from many different countries. For example,at my school, we have students from India, several Pacific islands, Greece, Italy, the Philippines, Vietnam and Lebanon.
Facilities are much easier to get to in the city as well.Whatever you need, you can find close by. There are baby health clinics in every suburb, police stations everywhere, and youth clubs within a few kilometers of your home.
A city is exciting, convenient and always changing. There is always plenty to do and see. and lots of different people to meet. I love the city I live in and I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

My Dormitory Room
My dormitory room is on *the second floor. It is small and crowded. The dark green walls and the dirty white ceiling make the room seem dark, and thus even smaller than it is, As youwalk into the room, you are stopped short by my bed which fills half of the room. The two large windows over the bed are hidden by heavy dark gold drapes. Against the wall on your left, pushed into a corner behind the head of the bed, is a large bookcase which is crammed with papers, books, and knick-knacks, Wedged in between the bookca

On the right hand of the room is a narrow closet with clothes, shoes, hats, tennis racquets, and boxes bulging out of its sliding doors. Everytime I walk out of the door, I think, “Now I know what it is like to live in a closet.”
